Personality and Behavior

As the youngest of seven children and the only girl, Ginny grew up trying to assert who she was from a young age. As a young girl, she could be somewhat shy and awkward, and easily blushed, especially when it came to Harry. After her unfortunate encounter of "He Who Must Be Named," Ginny shed some of her shyness.

In spite of her overprotective parents and siblings (or maybe because of it), she became quite a risk taker. From her love of flying and playing quiddich, to her love life to her work with DA, Ginny has always pushed herself to the edge, sometimes putting herself in danger.

Since her unfortunate accident, Ginny has become somewhat withdrawn, and has rarely seen even her closest friends.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

Ginny is a very skilled witch, and is known for her Bat-bogey hex. She can cast a patronus (horse), and has strong skills in defense. She is an excellent quiddich player, and known for her bad poetry and ability to mimic people.

Weaknesses

Ginny's confidence can sometimes cross the line to cockiness. Being the youngest and only girl, Ginny often asserts herself into situation that others might find too dangerous and can take too many risks. She also has physical weaknesses. (see history)

Personal History

The youngest of the Weasley clan, Ginny grew up knowing she would attend Hogwarts and was destined for Gryffindor. Every year, she would watch another brother leave the Burrow and dream of the day she would go herself. Her first year was less than ideal. Feeling slightly alone and out of place, she discovered a diary that not only she could talk to, but seemed to understand her. She had no idea that this incident would bring her almost to her death and put her face to face with "He who must not be named."

As the years went by, Ginny grew to be a confident young woman with a wicked sense of humor. She was quite popular with the young men, but her heart was truly owned by Harry. When they finally started a relationship, Ginny considered it one of the best days of her life. The day he left to find the horocruxes was one of the worst. Ginny reached down deep in herself and found the strength to work with Neville and Luna to keep the DA going. Her loyalty was tested with the constant punishments, but Ginny stayed strong and stayed the course. She directly disobeyed her parents during the final battle in order to be there with her friends and family to destroy the Death Eaters.

After the war, Ginny went back to Hogwarts to complete her final year. Heartbroken over the death of her brother and dear friends, she threw herself headfirst into both her studies and quiddich, She managed to lead her house to win the quiddich cup, and was often compared to her older brothers for her skill on the pitch and in leading the team.

The day after graduation, Ginny moved to London to attend the Hollyhead Harpies training camp. She excelled the first few weeks, but during the final match before the new team was chosen, a rival witch hexed her broom causing it to fly out of control. Ginny fell almost 60 feet, and suffered a serious head injury as well as multiple broken bones.

She spent several weeks in St Mungos, and while her physical injuries have lessened with time, some injuries are just too severe for even magic to cure. Ginny lost her peripheral vision and still has some lingering physical issues. She attends physical therapy at St Mungo's three days a week. The rest of her days are spent behind the counter of her brother's shop.
